Established in 1987 the family-run business started as a quaint small-scale operation, featuring only a handful of products. Blue Shirt Bakery grew from strength to strength and started trading under its current name in 2007 after selling successful product lines and choosing to solely focus on the production of Wraps and Tortillas to the South African market.

Due to numerous customer requests to extend our range, we introduced Pita's, Mini Pita's, Tramezzini’s, and Dessert Waffles to the mix in 2017. Expanding into our dessert and confectionery range we found a bakery (Ouma se Spens) that fitted in with our values and product quality matrix and became part of the Blue Shirt Bakery family in 2021.

Our range currently sits at over 60 products under three major brands namely:
Blue Shirt Bakery, Global Wraps and Ouma se Spens, most of which are listed in the Top Supermarket groups, Restaurant Chains, the Foodservice Industry, Independent Stores, and Catering Companies in South Africa. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is run by a dedicated and passionate team.

Our products are enjoyed in all our neighbouring countries and span as far as the Indian Ocean Islands.
